What is a CLEP exam?
The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a test that you take before you take a college class. If you pass it, you receive college credit for that class without having to take it. There are 33 CLEP exams that are accepted by 2,900 colleges and universities.
CLEP exams are usually courses that you would take in your first two academic years of college. If you pass your CLEP exam, you usually earn 3 college credits for the course and do not have to take it in college.
