What type of motivation is it?
Definitions:
Motivation – The reason that someone does something.
Psychosocial -- Having both emotional/mental and social/environmental feature.
Drive –The urge that motivates a person.
Types of drive: Thirst, Hunger, Pain, Pleasure
Most drive components have a biological or personal gratification purpose.

Two types of motivation:
Intrinsically-motivation – comes from us.
The thing we like to do or need to do so that we are happy.
Extrinsic motivation– comes from others.
The thing that others provide to us that motiviate us to do or
not do something.

Dr. Maslow created a hierarchy of needs that describes why people are motivated to do certain things. Dr. Maslow believed that as we grew emotionally our reason (motivation) for our actions evolves.
This is known as “Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs”
